94 pts - Kasia Sobiesiak (The Wine Front)
"Saline bouquet with a seductive smoky pineapple and peanut brittle. Yellow fruits and yellow flowers, dried herbs. Rich flavour races through the palate, charges forward with briny acidity and bitter tang. This is a very savoury expression, flinty and spicy. It’s a generous offering. Hard to put the glass down or spit it out for that matter. There has been a Jura-style action done here (some barrels not topped up, longer elevage etc.) and it’s noticeable and so well executed but also its own thing. Minimal intervention with purity and class. It’s a real deal."

About Brave New Wine
Brave New Wine are a pair of negociants (wine makers than don’t own their own vineyards), husband and wife duo Andries and Yoko Lüscher-Mostert. They are making painfully small amounts of fascinating, experimental and delicious wine from some superb vineyards in Great Southern. With a vision of acquiring their own vineyard in the future, they are currently content to make wines that truly thrill them. These are natural wines crafted without additions but with bucket-loads of love and skill.
